On Clay Strikes and Clay Parties

On March 26, 2026, some of us who work in clay threw a party in Detroit for all those in town for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). We called it cone 1,000,000. It was a house party.

We had cups for trade and for sale, pink ceramic party hats, jello shots with cherries in them, hot mulled wine, Detroit House, projections of dancing guys, and a booklet on clay strikes and clay parties. The booklet is shared here, as a remnant of the clay party and a continued call to return the clay party to its clay strike.
